Cyclonic Sydney

Being described as the worst storm to hit NSW in the last 5 years, it was quite a shock to wake up to the cyclonic type winds that were raging outside.

It has been raining now for nearly 42 hours, and shows no sign of stopping. And when I say rain, I don’t mean drizzle, I mean heavy rain (North of Sydney have had 300mm of rain in 24 hours according to the news). Add into the mix 125km/h winds that have been battling our little flat, and no electricity this morning, its pretty grim outside.

So in true winter fashion, we spent the day hold up inside finishing off the jigsaw, drinking tea, and eating lemon meringue pie!
