A night at the fair

I have a little catching up to do to get this blog caught up on all my adventures since being here in Australia. So since it is Thursday I thought I would write a throwback post to a couple of weeks ago when we went to Luna Park.DSC_0004

I hadn’t realised the park was so old! It was originally opened in 1935, but since then has undergone many refurbishments to produce what is here today. Since not knowing the history, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. So after getting our tickets we thought we would stroll and check out which rides to go on first. We started our walk from one end to the other which took a grand total of… 3 minutes! So the park wasn’t quite as big as we expected. But with its old fashioned rides, all a bit shabby around the edge, and twinkling lights of the ferris wheel, and that big grinning face welcoming you. You couldn’t help grinning right back!

It turned out to be one of my funniest nights yet in Sydney, and we left with aching jaws and croaky throats from laughing so much. DSC_0034
